You should be able to see instruments as an option in the environment if you have created the twin WB file. Now open your Logic WB template and create a new instance of Play and do all the other stuff like you did with the first instance except connect the new Play Channel Strip to the Wordbuilder 4 port. Both Tenor and Alto windows will open at once when you reload the file. Save the whole lot (both Tenor and Alto files) as one document (WB>File>Save As). Make the Midi assignments for each but for the Alto file midi ports use Wordbuilder 3 and 4. I think the basic thing is to start with two Wordbuilders.īefore opening logic, open Wordbuilder and create two files: File>New Voice, one for Tenors and one for Altos and name them as such. Did you get in on the same sale that I did? Just going through exactly the same thing. use Wordbuilder MIDI 1 & 2 for Tenors then Wordbuilder MIDI 3 & 4 for Altos. WB 1 Voice is Tenors and WB 2 Voice is Altos. SeparateMIDI keyboard control for both Tenors and Altos?
so how do you simply have 2 voices controlled by WB. Adding an extra "external MIDI" track is impossible (greyed out in New Track options). I've tried a variety of approaches but can't get it?Ĭan anyone help explain this extra voice addition? I'm adding another PLAY plug track for Altos. adding another voice say "Altos" seems impossible in the way he explains. but I find this totally confusing as you already have an environment set up for in Nick's case Tenors.
However right at the end of the QT (in the last couple of minutes) Nick explains briefly how to set up a second voice. I follow the set up as he explains for a Tenors Choir with WB. a fabulous quick help introduction to the complexities of setting up everything. Nick Phoenix has a great little QT video "L8 WordbuilderPLAY" and I would advise anyone using it for the first time to download from SoundOnLine website.
I'm embarking on a project that I'm setting up a special Template for with WB and SC and want to set up 2 WB Voices and PLAY SC plugs.
Also the PLAY manual about Logic use is very thin. There are a couple of threads on past forums about the subject but nothing very specific beyond making a connection. I'm having a great time working with WB & SC PLAY in Logic 8.02.
